Banana plant not developing fruit.
by: Steve

Years ago I dug up a few banana plants growing on the side of a street. I waited several years for fruit to appear, but nothing ever happened. Talking with a local nursery about my problem - he said not all banana plants develop fruit. So what I did was by a variety which is know to produce fruit. Problem solved.

You may want to be sure you have a type that produces fruit. Now depending on the cultivator -- your looking at 15 - 24 months for fruit to appear. These plants like warmth, plenty of water and well-drained soils.

I have dug up a good piece of information about which banana cultivators bear fruit and how long it takes plus, a few other tips to help you along. Copy and paste URL into you search bar:

Best of luck
