Will MySherwood Abelia Re-grow?

by Ann Beaulieu
(Hampton, NH)

This past winter, my husband cleared a path for the oil man, crunching half my Abelia. Now that it is spring, the side where he plowed is woody. Will my plant re-grow where it was striped? It is less than a year old.
Thank-you for any response.

Answer: Only time will tell if you plants will regrow. In the meantime continue watering them and make sure they stay insect free. Since it is now Spring, applying fertilizer may speed its recovery. If you notice some plant have died replace then with New Abelia Plants

Good Luck.
