unbrella plant buds?

My umbrella plant after 5 or more years has suddenly produced what I would call a flower of sorts. A growth has appeared at the tip of the plant and is producing fingers of what looks like little clusters of buds on each finger there are about 5 branches with these clusters on. What are they?
