This is one of my favorite jasmine plants

by luz Divina
(Keywest, Fl)

The orange jessamine is one of my favorite jasmine plants. The aroma of its flowers is very similar to a flowering orange tree. I’ve had one for many years and have trimmed into a square, and tapered it at the bottom. It looks like a course hedge now. The leaves are deep, dark green and it flowers several times a year here in Key West. The flowers have a scent to die for. They develop into clusters much like citrus and orange blossoms in springtime. Just lovely. I have given little attention to the care of this jasmine, other than trimming and it has done fine. It receives 4-5 hours of direct sunlight a day with equally parts of shade. If you’re lucky enough to live in Central or South Florida, go out and get an orange jessamine AKA Lakeview Jasmine or Jasmine tree.
