How to tke care of a crown of thirns plant
by: Tita

To grow a beautiful crown of thorns all you have to do is love it.It will grow almost anywhere. Use water sparingly, or it will rot. and fertilize every month. Either in the sun or on the shade she will do just fine. If it gets too big and you want to keep it smaller, start pruning.

Every piece you cut can easily be rooted by just sticking it in damp potting soil. You can keep it in a vase or plant it in the garden, mine do better in planters versus straight on the ground.

If you let the frost get on it it will kill most of it, but if you cover it, it will survive the winter. What ever is left of the plant will come back when it warms up.

Lots of baby plants will sprout all around the plant.I still don't know if the seed is in the flower that keeps falling around the plant or what is causing that. I re pot them as soon as they are 3 inches long.
