Orange Jessamine sowing flowers in January

The Lakeveiw Jasmine

Here in Tampa Bay the Orange Jessamine is known as the Lakeview jasmine. They are easy to find at most nurseries during spring. And that’s when I first add this fragrant plant to my landscape. What drew me to this plant was it’s sweet scented flowers. The flowers are white, grow in bunches and attract bees and butterflies to the sweet nectar. Living in Central Florida, the plant blooms several times a year starting around January. Today is January 9, and it is showing a few jasmine flowers. If you love fragrant plants, the Orange Jessamine/ Lakeview should be included in your collection.
