My carolina jasmine leaves are withering-- what do I do?

We planted some Carolina jasmine about a month ago against a fence on a trellis but the plants seem to be withering. What are we doing wrong? It is against a fence that faces the west so it does get quite a bit of sun, but we have an arbor in front of it that does provide some shade. Are we keeping it too wet, not wet enough, or not just enough time for it to acclimate?
