My Allamanders Love Coffee Grinds

by barbara
(Tequesta Fl)

I have 3 Allamander cathaertica, one new and about 1&l/2 feet all round. Two are 3 years old and bloom, bloom, bloom in spring and summer. I live in South Florida and the soil is very sandy and my plants struggled, at first, until I began give them a cup of my left over coffee grinds whenever I thought of it. They thanked me by perking right up and very few yellowing leaves. I give them some fertilizer, in the spring, and keep a light mulch.
