Adenium obesum ( Desert Rose ) Has Fungus by: emerald
Question: My desert rose plant was blooming beautifully then I realized within a couple of days that one of the stem was turning brown and all the flowers dropping then I realized that there was a fungus . I cut the blackness out. Am I right in doing this? Will the stem grow again?
Answer: The dark discolored portions of your plant may or may not be fungus. Without a close examination its hard to tell. It is possible that it has been caused by insects, and the dark portion is the damage they left behind. Noting can be done about cutting the blackness out now. It should recover with time.Give it a few weeks. In the meantime, inspect the plant for insects and do not make any changes that could stress the plant further.
