mandevilla

i have a pink mandevilla in a pot which has a small bamboo tripod trellis when it was purchased. Plant is beginning to droop over. Can i remove the trellis and place a taller one in the container or just put another trellis behind the original trellis. It doesn't seem to want to climb the wood fence which is behind the container.
Thanks - Linda

Linda, it's best to add a new trellis to your mandevilla vine. That way you won't disturb the roots or stress the plant replacing the one you have.
