Some have single tier, while others have double or triple. A few uses solar energy and many rely on electricity. There are also fountains which are the centerpiece of a larger body of water, the pond, where fish and lilies thrive. It can also become wishing well for visitors. Besides these, bird baths and bird feeder also make an attractive ornament. To mirror coastal areas, there are lighthouses built exclusively for ornaments. Experts in gardening advise that in selecting the lawn ornaments, it is important to layer in order. Thus, if most plants are of identical height, adding ornaments of varying height will add texture or visual interest to that area. Barren spots may be filled with potted flowers should climate-friendly plants prove futile. One thing to remember is not to overdo ornamenting the lawn.
