Best Lawn Care Equipment For Homeowners And Landscapers

Lawn care equipment is a set of tools designed to keep it your lawn and landscape healthy and beautiful. Some homeowners employ commercial lawn care services for time constraints and physical restrictions.

However, those who are endowed with adequate time find it fulfilling to personally take care of their lawn. Doing so would require the right lawn care equipment.

Mowers

Mowing the lawn does not only assure well-trimmed grasses. It also helps discourage weeds from growing.

Mowers can be reel, rotary, walk-behind, or rider on. Reel mowers use blades on a revolving cylinder.

It is powered by an engine or muscle. Engine-powered mowers can be fueled by a gasoline or battery or electricity.Rotary mower uses flat horizontal blades controlled by an engine located on the mower deck.

Walk-behind mower is powered by gas, electricity or muscle work. It is considered environment-friendly lawn care equipment and requires little maintenance.

Ride-on mowers come in different sizes, styles, and add-ons for ease of use and application. Riding mowers are best on large lawns.

Hedge & Shrub Trimmers

If a lawn owner maintains hedge or petty bush, a hedge trimmer is necessary. It helps trim the hedge on a certain height. Hedge trimmers come in cordless or battery-operated, electric or gas models.

Some have single blades and a few have double-sided blades. Most have dual-action blades, while many have single action.

Chippers and Shredders

As we move toward an era of having realized the importance of recycling, chippers and shredders are a recurrent terms in lawn care equipment. They are likewise among the favorites.

These tools are best at chipping and shredding yard debris which can be composted and turned in as yard waste, or used as mulch around the yard and garden.

Large chippers can grind up almost everything including tree trunks while small electric shredders are limited only to chewing up twigs and leaves.

A combination of chipper and shredder is preferable among lawn owners with some models equipped with the capacity to chip wood of up to three inches in diameter.

Tree and plant branches are fed into a chute for cutting into smaller chips. Twigs and leaves are fed into a bucket or hopper for shredding.

A chipper vac, a device that resembles a mulching push lawnmower in appearance, vacuums up twigs and leaves, and mulches them for disposal.

Chainsaws—Today’s models of chainsaws come in cordless or electric-operated or gas-driven. Unlike in the past when chainsaws were conceived as a logging tool, at the present time, a chainsaw is helpful in cutting down unwanted trees, pruning large limbs, or preparing firewood to heat homes in winter. Backpack Blowers

Blowers and Vac—Blowers can be cordless, corded electric, and gas-operated. Some models are exclusive for clearing driveways, decks, and other small areas.

In some models however, they include vacuuming and mulching features, others use two-cycle engines and four-cycle engines to reduce pollution and noise.

Whatever lawn care equipment is chosen, it is best to choose the right specifications that satisfy one’s needs.
