Is there a secret to getting a bright orange colored passionflower to bloom?

In the beginning of spring of 2009 I purchased a very small (4 inch size pot) passionflower from a well known company.

I had it outside once it was big enough and it grew slowly. When winter came ( I live in central Fl.) I dug it up and put it into a large pot with a trellis hoping for it to really start growing ,and I put it into my greenhouse.

Well it started to bush out and was growing up a 4 to 5 foot trellis, looking as healthy as it could be. It still hadn't bloomed yet and I read that they need full sun, so I got it carried outside of the greenhouse to get plenty of sun and fresh air.

It is now August 2010 and I still don't see any sign of blooms, yet. I grow all different kinds of plants from orchids to ferns, angel and trumpet plants. I have many color of Plumeria which grows like crazy.

I also have two 6 ft x 4 ft. fences covered and growing like a weed with the dark purple passion vine. They both have so many blooms on it you couldn't count them and just continue to grow on and on blooming forever.

I just want to see a bloom on my orange colored passion flower, maybe it is too early in the season for this particular plant. It does say very easy to grow in full sun, needs plenty of regular deep watering and should be very easy to grow from late spring til frost.

Its name in the catalog is passion vine coral sea (Passiflora manicata) I fertilize regular and I just don't know what I am doing wrong and if you could give me a tip to try, or what I am doing wrong please could you let me know. Thank-you for your time and any help you can offer me.

Sincerely, Janice Volin
