Honeysuckle Vine & Trumpet Vine

by Deborah
(Minneapolis)

I planted honeysuckle and trumpet next to each other against the sides of an arbor. I am in zone 4. Do these need to be cut back for the winter months or leave the vines as they are?
Also, just learned the trumpet is poisonous (why any retailer would sell it is beyond me!). Should I remove the trumpet vine? The honeysuckle is taking the lead on growth and space in the 4 months since planted as seedlings.
Please advise.
Thank you!
