Help! My Mexican Bird of Paradise isTurning Yellow

Question: We purchased & planted a Mexican Bird of Paradise from the Desert Botanical Garden (Phoenix, AZ) 2 weeks ago.I just noticed the leaves are turning yellow. What should I do?

Answer: If the plants were in good health when brought home from the botanical garden and you haven't changed anything, (pots, moving plant from container to ground, more/less light etc), you may just want to give it a deep and through watering 3-4 days a week. Don't make any other changes for 4-6 weeks. If it is in fact a lack a water, improvement in the plants health will be seen within that time.

Good luck
