Elephant ear bulb planting

Question: I am unable to determine which side of the bulb to plant into the ground. There are hair like stings on both sides of the bulb which makes it hard to decide how to plant. Please help.


Answer: One side of the bulb should have a pattern similar to a "bulls-eye" target. That is the side you want pointing up. If you don't see this pattern, planting the elephant ear bulb sideways will bring desired results.
